A striking collection of nineteen pinback buttons featuring portraits of historical figures associated with socialism, labor, revolution, and Black liberation, including Karl Marx, Frederick Douglass, Rosa Luxemburg, V.I. Lenin, Malcolm X, Eugene V. Debs, and Harriet Tubman. Each button combines a bold portrait with a concise political slogan, printed in black against a vivid blue ground. The uniform color and cohesive graphic design give the group a particularly strong visual presence and reflect the political culture of the late 1960s.
