“Welcome Lafayette” Commemorative Silk Ribbon

A scarce ribbon printed with a small central portrait of Lafayette beneath the word “WELCOME.” Its restrained design reflects the widespread production of commemorative textiles marking his return visit and the popular enthusiasm surrounding it.
 
Exhibited: Bienvenue au Général Lafayette, The Cabildo, April 9, 2025 – January 18, 2026 (commemorating the 200th anniversary of Lafayette’s visit to Louisiana).
 
Condition: Excellent; even tone with light scattered staining and minor edge wear.
