Scarce satirical celluloid pinback issued during the height of the Watergate scandal, depicting the principal figures of the Nixon administration caricatured as marionettes beneath the caption, "The Watergate Gang." The design lampoons the administration officials implicated in the conspiracy and subsequent cover-up that culminated in one of the most consequential political scandals in American history.
 
The illustration is by celebrated cartoonist Jack Davis, whose distinctive style became synonymous with MAD Magazineand whose work ranks among the most recognizable examples of twentieth-century American satire.
